BLM modifies procedures for issuing Unit 13 Federal Subsistence Hunting Permits

GLENNALLEN, Alaska – In compliance with CDC social distancing guidelines to keep community members and employees safe, the Bureau of Land Management Glennallen Field Office has modified its procedures for issuing federal subsistence hunting permits for moose and caribou in Unit 13.  

If you were issued a 2019 Unit 13 Federal Subsistence Harvest permit for moose or caribou:

Please call the BLM Glennallen Field Office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at one of the numbers below to update your information.  Your permit will be mailed to you.  Please have your current hunting license available to provide your license number.   

Residents of the Copper Basin: 907-822-7319.    

Residents of Delta Junction: 907-822-7328.

For federally qualified rural residents who DID NOT receive a Unit 13 Federal Subsistence Harvest permit in 2019:  

Copper Basin Residents:  Please call the BLM Glennallen Field Office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 907-822-3217 to make an appointment to apply for your permits in person. Appointments will be scheduled starting July 20 at the Glenallen Field Office. Please bring photo identification, current proof of physical address, and current hunting license to your appointment.  

Delta Junction Residents:  Please call the BLM Glennallen Field Office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 907-822-3217 to make an appointment to apply for your permits in person. Appointments will be scheduled from July 8 through July 11 in Delta Junction at the Delta Career Advancement Center or, starting July 20, at the Glennallen Field Office.  Please bring photo identification, current proof of physical address, and current hunting license to your appointment.
