BLM Christmas tree permits are $4 each with a limit of 10 per purchaser and are for individual use only.  The permit allows the purchaser to cut trees on BLM administered lands only.  A map of approved tree harvesting areas will be provided along with stipulations of the permit.

Pinyon Pine and Juniper are the only tree species that may be harvested.  McKinney Pass and Kitten Springs in the Stillwater Range are recommended areas for Christmas tree harvesting.  Please pay attention to the marked boundary and refer to the map provided to ensure you are within the approved harvesting areas.

Some roads may be inaccessible at this time due to weather conditions. Please plan ahead and be prepared for sudden changes in weather and road conditions.  Pack warm blankets, extra clothing, first-aid kit, extra food and water, heavy rope or chain, shovel and tire chains, and other adverse weather emergency equipment.
