BLM Advisory Council to meet in Coeur d’Alene

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Bureau of Land Management today announced it will hold a meeting of the Coeur d’Alene Resource Advisory Council (RAC), demonstrating that partnerships and inclusion are vital to managing sustainable, working public lands. The public is welcome to attend the meeting which will occur on Thursday, Oct. 19 at the BLM Coeur d’Alene District office located at 3815 Schreiber Way from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Planned agenda items at the meeting include updates on projects for both the Coeur d’Alene and Cottonwood Field Offices and recreation fee review for the Nez Perce/Clearwater National Forest.
“The RAC represents diverse public interests and provides invaluable input for managing our public lands,” said Coeur d’Alene District Manager Linda Clark. “Their feedback helps us make more informed decisions, resulting in better projects on the ground.”
A half-hour comment period, during which the public may address the RAC, will begin at 1 p.m. Depending on the number of people wishing to comment and time available, the amount of time for individual oral comments may be limited.
Resource Advisory Councils are critical in assisting the BLM in continuing to be a good neighbor in the communities we serve. The 15-member RAC provides advice and recommendations to the BLM on resource and land management issues within the BLM Coeur d’Alene district.
