Subject:           2023 Share the Experience Employee Photo Contest                           DD: 12/29/2023

This Information Bulletin launches the 2023 Share the Experience photo contest for Federal employees and volunteers to submit pictures they have taken on public lands. Entries will be accepted now through December 29, 2023.

Do you have a great photo of your favorite Bureau of Land Management (BLM) recreation site, National Conservation Land unit, or other Federal land unit you would like to submit to this year’s Share the Experience Employee Photo Contest? Nine winners will each receive an America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass and outdoor gear. The grand prize winner will also receive a framed copy of their winning photo, with a second copy presented to agency leadership.

The 2022 grand prize-winning photo was taken by Paulette Donnellon and features a colorful Eastern Collared Lizard, standing out bright and beautiful among the desert landscape of Wupatki National Monument. This photo will be featured on the 2023 National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass.  

To be eligible for the contest, you must have been an employee of or volunteer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, BLM, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, or the National Archives at some time during 2023. Photos must be of lands managed by these agencies. You may enter up to 10 photos by December 29, 2023, to be eligible to win.
