Subject: 2014 Fire and Aviation Management Pre-Season Meeting Notification
The Wyoming Fire and Aviation Management Pre-Season meeting will be held April 16, 2014, starting at
8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. The following day, April 17, the Branch of Fire and Aviation will be
sponsoring a Taking Care of Our Own training starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. The meeting
and training will be held at the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Campus located at 222 Red Canyon Road,
Lander, Wyoming. A map to this facility is attached as Attachment 1.
The target audience for the meeting on April 16, 2014, as per 2014 Interagency Standards for Fire and
Fire Aviation Operations policy, includes Wyoming State Office Agency Administrators, District
Managers, Field Managers, and District Fire Management Officers. Resource, Safety, Public
Information, and other Fire and Aviation staff are cordially invited and encouraged to attend as well.
At this time, we are requesting fire, fuels and aviation presentations and agenda items from the Field and
District Offices. Please provide this information to Paul Hohn at the Wyoming State Office by April 1,
2014, using Attachment 2, the Agenda Item Request Form. The Pre-season Fire Management Meeting
Agenda is pending based upon the agenda development and confirmation of speakers, and will be
distributed via email prior to the meeting.
