Subject:            Notice of Availability of New Junior Ranger Book on Citizen Science

A new Junior Ranger publication, My Public Lands Junior Ranger: Citizen Scientists at Work!, is now available from the BLM’s Printed Materials Distribution Services (PMDS) at the National Operations Center.  This activity book introduces children to a wide range of citizen science projects that support public land management, from citizen participation in the Monarch Joint Venture, to New Mexico volunteers recording rock art sites, to the discovery of an invasive marine species in Alaska.  The book invites families to visit America’s public lands, learn about the BLM’s multiple-use mission, and take part in the shared stewardship of natural and cultural resources.
