Subject:           H-9600-1, Cadastral Survey Handbook

This Information Bulletin (IB) announces the release of the Bureau of Land Management Cadastral Survey Handbook. The handbook incorporates interim policy issued under Washington Office Instruction Memoranda.

This handbook provides guidance for Management of Land Boundary services and Standards for Boundary Evidence processes. The policies include cost recovery in commercial projects; when to increase the scope of a cadastral survey; high risk lands with high risk boundaries projects; and marking and posting the boundaries of BLM-administered lands.
