The Division of Environmental Quality and Protection is pleased to announce the availability of the Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Program Feasibility Study for AML Inventory Validation and Physical Safety Closures (Bureau of Land Management (BLM) publication number BLM/WO/GI-13/011+1637). The study estimates the costs to validate and address the
un-remediated AML sites posing physical safety hazards to the public.
The report is available on the BLM website. Printed copies may be obtained from the Washington Office, Division of Environmental Quality and Protection (WO-280).
