Subject:           Availability of Making a Difference: BLM’s 2011 Volunteer Annual Report

The Division of Education, Interpretation, and Partnerships is pleased to announce the availability of Making a Difference: BLM’s 2011 Volunteer Annual Report, which presents profiles of outstanding BLM volunteer projects as well as statistical information on State and Center Volunteer Programs for fiscal year 2011.  The report underscores the important role volunteers play in caring for our public lands, and is a useful tool for conveying this message to both internal and external audiences.  Volunteer Coordinators and other staff are encouraged to distribute copies to field offices, program managers, volunteers, partner organizations, community leaders, legislators, and others.

The report is available online.  Printed copies may be obtained free of charge from the BLM’s Printed Materials Distribution Services (PMDS) as catalog item EE9-006C.  Should you wish to receive copies, please request that your office Forms Manager place an order on your behalf.

We extend our thanks to the many BLM employees who contributed to the production and design of this report.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Linda Schnee, BLM Volunteer Program Lead, (202) 912-7453 or lschnee@blm.gov.
