UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIORBUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENTWASHINGTON, D.C.  20240March 25, 2010In Reply Refer To:1703 (280) PEMS TRANSMISSION 03/25/2010Information Bulletin No. 2010-053To:        All Field OfficialsFrom:        Assistant Director, Renewable Resources and PlanningSubject:    Department of the Interior’s Upcoming Conference on the EnvironmentThe purpose of this Information Bulletin (IB) is to inform personnel of the Department of the Interior’s (DOI) 2010 Conference on the Environment.  The conference is scheduled for April 26 - 30, 2010, at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower in Portland, Oregon.  Complete details and information are provided on the conference website.  The early registration fee for DOI employees is $300.00 through March 29, 2010, and $400.00 afterward.The conference will provide a forum for DOI personnel, stakeholders, and exhibitors (government, commercial, and non-profit) to meet and exchange information on a wide variety of environmental and natural resource topics and issues.  The 2010 Conference on the Environment has been organized into multiple environmental tracks that encompass the breadth of the DOI’s environmental and natural resource program areas, including:·    Climate Change and Greenhouse Gases·    Sustainable Practices at DOI Facilities ·    Resource Conservation and Management·    Environmental Collaboration, Partnering and Outreach ·    Environmental Remediation and Current TechnologiesAll field officials are encouraged to visit the website and promote attendance of the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) personnel to the extent that local budget and resources allow.  The BLM’s personnel who should consider attending include those involved with the following:  Environmental Management, Facility Management, Energy Management, Transportation Management, Natural Resource Conservation and Management, Environmental Planning (NEPA), Hazardous Waste Clean-Ups, and Emergency Response. Contact:  Marci Todd, WO-210, Division Chief, at 202-912-7292 or Miyoshi Stith, WO-280, Hazard Management and Resource Restoration Program Lead, at 202-912-7452.Signed by:                                             Authenticated by:Bud C.
