The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) National Land Use Planning Conference is tentatively scheduled for March or early April, 2009, in Portland, Oregon. The primary objective of the conference is to continue improvements to the land use planning process and to chart a course for being successful and overcoming obstacles in creating, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining land use plans that will have lasting and positive impacts on the lands BLM manages. The Division of Decision Support, Planning and NEPA is coordinating the agenda and soliciting abstracts for proposed conference sessions. Each of the five conference tracks are listed below, along with the designated Track Lead. Proposed abstracts must be sent no later than September 1, 2008, directly to the designated Track Lead under which the submitted abstract applies. Please limit abstracts to 250 words.
