Subject: Publication of A Teacher’s Guide to Energy on Public Lands

It is my pleasure to announce the availability of A Teacher’s Guide to Energy on Public Lands, an invaluable tool to assist educators in teaching standards-based lessons and conducting classroom activities about the diverse energy resources on America’s public lands. The guide was produced in partnership with the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Program, a non-profit organization dedicated to making energy education a priority in our nation’s schools.
A printed copy of the guide is attached for your review and reference; it is also available online at http://www.blm.gov/education/LearningLandscapes.data/Components/downloads/EnergyOnPublicLandsWeb.pdf. Should you require additional printed copies, please feel free to order them directly from BLM’s Printed Materials Distribution Services in Denver; the guide has been assigned Item No. EE1-025.
We hope that you will find the guide useful in your environmental education and energy outreach programs and presentations. As always, we welcome your comments on our products; please feel free to contact me at (202) 452-0365.
