BLM Wyoming is planning to hold a wild horse adoption event in the Rock Springs on April 19, 2025. The event will be at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with 40 horses plus burros present during the event.

Sand Mountain, has seen an increase in recreationists during holiday weekends. Within the last few years, Sand Mountain visitation during Easter weekend has increased to approximately 2,500 visitors.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will host a virtual informational meeting about geothermal leasing on BLM-managed public lands in southern Idaho via Zoom on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 6-7 p.m. MDT. The public meeting will explain how geothermal energy works, what development looks like, geothermal potential locations, the federal leasing process, environmental reviews, public participation, stipulations or protections, benefits for Idaho taxpayers, and the financial boost for local economies.
