The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Wells Draw Road Amendment - Gate Canyon: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0076-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will amend the existing right-of-way for the applicant, Duchesne County Special Service District #2, to realign and pave a portion of Duchesne County-claimed road 32 in Gate Canyon. Half of the route (2.8 miles) and one proposed parking area will be on BLM-administered lands, and the remainder on lands administered by the Utah Trust Lands Administration lands (TLA). This decision only applies to the portions of the project location under BLM jurisdiction.

The decision record can be found at: https://eplanning.blm.gov/Project-Home/?id=C3622A22-3822-F111-8341-001DD8029ED0
