Trails Center re-opens with temporary access during water line and road construction
CASPER, Wyo. – The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper will re-open with alternative access to the facility today. BLM would like to remind the public to stay safe while accessing the Trails Center on the temporary loose gravel road, located north of the normal entrance.
BLM announced a temporary closure to the public beginning Aug. 7, 2025. The closure was due to no alternative access to the facility while N. Poplar Street would be closed for city maintenance.
“We are thrilled to invite visitors back to the Trails Center through a temporary access route,” said Jessie Horn, Bureau of Land Management Trails Center Manager. “Summer brings visitors from far and wide and we’re thankful to re-open sooner than planned.”
BLM will continue to provide updates on the temporary access road and if the route changes before construction is completed.
