Split 22-9-723 well pad gas drilling approved in Uintah County
The BLM Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Split 22-9-723 Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0057-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will approve fifteen Applications for Permit to Drill for the applicant, Middle Fork Energy Uinta LLC, to drill gas wells to produce from their existing federal mineral leases. The EA also analyzed construction of the well pad and associated infrastructure and drilling of up to seventeen additional wells in the future for thirty-two total wells. The project location is on BLM-administered lands in the SENW of Section 9, Township 7 South, Range 23 East, S.L.B.&M., Uintah County, Utah, approximately 28 miles south of Vernal, Utah.
