Coeur d’Alene, Idaho— The Bureau of Land Management has temporarily closed a portion of the West Fork Pine Creek route due to downed trees and debris blocking the roadway caused by recent storms.

The route closure is located in Township 47 North, Range 1 East, Section 14, approximately one mile east of the Langlois Road junction and signs are in place to advise the public. The closure is necessary to protect public safety and prevent further natural resource damage. Employees are working to clear the trees as soon as possible, but the route is currently impassable and will be closed until repairs are complete.

Additionally, recent storms have resulted in damage elsewhere across the BLM Coeur d’Alene District and staff have been assessing and repairing damage at multiple different sites.

For more information and the status of various recreation sites, contact the Coeur d’Alene Field Office at 208-769-5000.
