Event Description

You’re invited to celebrate the completion of the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA) Shoreline Stabilization Project! A transformative effort that protects the shoreline, enhances safe public access, and preserves the cultural and natural heritage of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area (ONA).

This achievement marks years of engineering innovation, collaboration, and commitment to safeguarding one of Florida’s most iconic coastal landscapes.

As part of the national Freedom 250 commemoration of America’s Semi-quincentennial, this event highlights the enduring role of public lands in our shared national story.

Why This Project Matters

The shoreline stabilization project strengthens vulnerable shoreline areas, improves visitor safety, and protects irreplaceable cultural resources at the site. These improvements ensure that the lighthouse and surrounding lands remain accessible, resilient, and protected for future generations.

Event Highlights

  • Public tours and interpretive talks

  • Family‑friendly activities and an evening celebration

  • Engaging storytelling focused on coastal resilience, cultural preservation, and GAOA’s national impact
