Randlett Road East oil wells and Bama Fed 1123 gas wells authorized in Uintah County
Uinta Wax Operating LLC authorized to develop Randlett Road East oil wells
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Randlett Rd East Oil Wells: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0088-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will authorize three Applications for Permit to Uinta Wax Operating LLC (the applicant) to drill oil wells. The EA analyzed potential non-surface effects from construction of a new well pad with associated infrastructure and drilling of up to seven additional wells for a total of ten. The project location is approximately 7.8 linear miles southeast of Roosevelt, Utah in Sections 15 and 16, Township 3 South, Range 1 East in Uintah County, Utah. The surface is privately owned but the wells will extract Indian Trust minerals from existing leases.

Anschutz Exploration Corporation approved for Bama Fed 1123 well pad gas wells
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Bama Fed 1123 Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0091-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will authorize four Applications for Permit to Drill to Anschutz Exploration Corporation (the applicant) to drill gas wells. The EA analyzed construction of a new well pad with an associated access road and pipelines and drilling of up to eight additional wells for a total of twelve. The project location is in the Boss Unit, south of the White River in Uintah County, Utah (Township 11 South, Range 23 East, Section 15) and includes BLM- and TLA-administered lands. The BLM decision applies to BLM-administered surface and minerals.
