National Public Lands Day: Araviapa Creek Invasive Vinca Removal

The BLM will host a invasive species removal to benefit the unique habitat at Aravaipa Creek. The target species for removal is vinca, a invasive weed that smothers and crowds out native riparian plants. The location will be near the East Aravaipa Trailhead at Bear Canyon. There is a parcel of BLM managed land that contains a section of the creek. BLM will supply tools, supplies, drinks, and a light lunch for volunteers. Learn more about the event.
