Event Description

Join BLM Archaeologist Chris Shaw for a guided hike through Mill Creek Canyon for Archaeology Month! Chris will discuss his recent research from the Pecos Archaeology Conference related to petroglyphs and historic inscriptions in the Moab area, and will be available to answer questions related to archaeology and historic preservation on public lands. Bring hiking boots and any burning questions you’ve ever had about archeology! This is a short hike — less than a mile.

Visitors have two dates to choose from!

Dates: May 15 and 29
Time: 9am-12pm
Location: Mill Creek North Fork Trailhead, Moab

This event is part of Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month.

Parking is limited. Carpool if possible. If the parking lot is full, plan to park below the dirt road and walk from there.
