Greylock Production LLC authorized to develop MCW well pad gas well

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the MCW Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0058-EA. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will authorize an Application for Permit to Drill to Greylock Production LLC (the applicant) to drill a gas well. The EA analyzed construction of a new well pad with an associated access road and pipelines and drilling of up to seven additional wells for a total of eight. The project location is on BLM-administered lands in the Chapita Wells Unit, located north of the White River in Uintah County, Utah (Township 9 South, Range 23 East, Section 21).

Three mountain bike trails formally designated at McCoy Flats

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued Categorical Exclusion (CE) documentation for mountain bike trail designations: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0108-CE. The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will designate three existing trails in McCoy Flats (Festice, Split Decision, and Rogue) and incorporate them into the nonmotorized trail network. Rogue would be designated as OHV-Closed, and Festice and Split Decision would be designated OHV-Limited to Class I Electric Bikes. The trails are in Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 28 of Township 5 South, Range 21 East (SLM), in Duchesne County, Utah.
