Little Brush Creek Grazing Permit Renewed for 10-Year Term

The BLM Vernal Field Office completed Categorical Exclusion documentation for the Little Brush Creek Grazing Permit Renewal: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2025-0119-CX. The Authorized Officer signed a decision under which the BLM will issue the applicant a grazing permit for a 10-year term with the identical livestock numbers, grazing periods, AUMs, and the standard terms and conditions as the original . The subject allotment is in Section 1, Township 3 South, Range 22 East, Salt Lake Meridan, in Uintah County, Utah.

BLM Approves New Natural Gas Development at Veloci 10 Well Pad

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Veloci 10 Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0032-EA. The Authorized Officer signed a decision record under which the BLM will approve eleven Applications for Permit to Drill for the applicant, Caerus Uinta LLC, to drill gas wells producing from federal minerals. The EA also analyzed effects from construction of associated infrastructure (i.e. pipelines, access roads, and a powerline) and drilling of up to five additional wells from the same location in the future for a total of sixteen. The project location is on BLM-administered lands approximately 48 linear miles south of Vernal, Utah in Section 10, Township 10 South, Range 23 East. S.L.B.&M. in Uintah County, Utah, in an existing gas development field: the Ponderosa Unit (Agreement #UTU88209A).
