Event Description
Join Yaquina Head staff and Friends of Yaquina Lighthouses for a service day from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on September 27. Sign-ups will start at 10:00 a.m. at the Interpretive Center on a first come, first served basis—space is limited.
Volunteers should wear outdoor-appropriate clothing and footwear. Tools and gloves will be provided.
Every volunteer will receive a coupon for free entrance to one federal park and a Yaquina Head Lighthouse poster.
Activities may include:
- Cobble Beach litter pickup.
- Invasive plant removal.
- Planting native species to support biodiversity and prevent soil erosion.
- Clearing weeds and preparing the heirloom garden for winter.
