GRANTS PASS, Ore. — The Bureau of Land Management and the Applegate Partnership and Watershed Council invite the community to join the See Our Salmon and Friends event at the Provolt Recreation Area on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly celebration offers a unique chance to connect with nature and discover the vital role salmon and other riparian species play in local ecosystems.

Attendees can enjoy expert-led talks, guided tours of ongoing restoration projects, salmon spotting, interactive activities, and educational booths hosted by local organizations.

“Events like this give people a chance to see firsthand how healthy streams, fish, and public lands are all connected,” said Justin Kelly, BLM Grants Pass Field Manager. “It’s also a great opportunity to learn about the restoration work happening at Provolt and the partnerships that help improve habitat for salmon and other wildlife.”
