BLM Worland Field Office dispersed recreation, Black Mountain Area
WORLAND, Wyo. — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is notifying the public of alternate access to the Black Mountain Area following the installation of a gate at the end of Black Mountain Road, Hot Springs County Road 15-6.
The gate is being installed by the adjacent landowner at the point where the public right-of-way permissibly ends. This change does not constitute a closure of any BLM road, county road or easement. Members of the public must receive permission from the landowner to cross through private property. BLM managed lands in the Black Mountain Area remain open for dispersed recreation, and legal public access is available from the southeast, NE1/4SE1/4, SE1/4SE1/4 Sec 06, T42N R90W.
Visitors should note that alternate routes consist of rough two-track routes and non-motorized travel. BLM encourages the public to use maps while navigating these routes independently, travel prepared, check weather and local advisories, be mindful that cell service may be limited, and respect private property.
