KEMMERER, Wyo. — The Bureau of Land Management’s Kemmerer and Pinedale field offices will begin winterizing water systems at several campgrounds between Sept. 29 and Oct. 3, 2025. The affected campgrounds include Fontenelle Creek Campground in Lincoln County and Scab Creek and Warren Bridge campgrounds in Sublette County.

The winterization process may occur earlier if temperatures approach freezing before the listed dates. Once winterization is complete, water will not be available for the remainder of the season, and campers should plan accordingly. After the water is turned off, no fees will be charged at these campgrounds.

Fontenelle Creek Campground will remain open as long as roads are passable, with the boat ramp and lake access available throughout the winter. Scab Creek and Warren Bridge campgrounds will remain open through the end of October or until the first significant snowfall, whichever comes first.

For more information, contact the Kemmerer Field Office at 307-828-4500 regarding Fontenelle Creek Campground or the Pinedale Field Office at 307-367-5300 for Scab Creek and Warren Bridge campgrounds.
