LAS VEGAS – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comments on a Clark County proposal to acquire about six acres in northwest Las Vegas Valley for about $3 million. The funding comes from land sales under the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act and the acquisition would support the county’s Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan

These parcels would enhance responsible land stewardship and help maintain open space that supports species of regional interest and ecological value. The estimated purchase price is $3,058,550, though the actual purchase price would be based on fair market value consistent with federal appraisal standards.

To date, more than 1,500 projects have been funded under SNPLMA to enhance a wide range of recreation opportunities, improve access to federal lands, promote species and improve their habitat, protect important lands, improve landscapes, and reduce the threat of wildland fire to communities.

Additional information, including the recommendation, executive summary, and project nomination, is available at our SNPLMA Off Cycle Acquisition website. Comments may be emailed to [email protected] (preferred) or delivered to: SNPLMA Executive Committee Chair, BLM Southern Nevada District Office, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89130. The commend period will close June 3, 2026.
