BLM issues decision on the West Eugene Wetlands Emerald Ash Borer Hydrology Study

The Bureau of Land Management Northwest Oregon District Siuslaw Field Office has issued a decision record and categorical exclusion documentation to authorize a West Eugene Wetlands Emerald Ash Borer Hydrology Study to evaluate the effects on groundwater dynamics and ecosystem function in the West Eugene Wetlands from the expected introduction of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). The EAB is a highly destructive invasive wood-boring beetle responsible for the death and decline of tens of millions of Ash trees in North America. This project is located near the West Kirk Park in Eugene in Lane County.
