BLM issues the Carpenter Bypass 2025 trail work project
The Bureau of Land Management Northwest Oregon District/Siuslaw Field Office has issued a Decision Record to authorize the Carpenter Bypass 2025 Trail Work project. The trail work would include the construction of 3 new trail spurs and decommission a social “climbing line” along one segment of trail to improve safety and remove dangerous riding conditions between existent bike trails.
The project is located entirely within the Carpenter Bypass Mountain Bike Trail Extensive Recreation Management Area, outside of Lorane, Oregon within BLM-administered lands in the Siuslaw Field Office. A map of the exact project area, the Categorical Exclusion documentation and Decision Record can be accessed digitally at Carpenter Bypass 2025 Trail Work.
