BLM Authorizes Aerial Herbicide Treatment in Daggett County

The BLM Vernal Field Office completed Categorical Exclusion documentation for the Marshall Draw-Crouse Bench Cheatgrass Treatment: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2025-0025-CX. The Authorized Officer signed a decision record under which the BLM will authorize aerial herbicide treatments with Rejuvra and Plateau, targeting cheatgrass in coordination with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR). The project location is in Daggett County, Utah consisting of 743 BLM-administered acres and 1,749 UDWR-administered acres. The BLM decision only applies to lands under its administration.

Pipeline Approved in Uintah County

The BLM Vernal Field Office completed Categorical Exclusion documentation for the Lookout Lay Flat Waterline: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0053-CE. The Authorized Officer signed a decision record under which the BLM will issue the applicant (Caerus Uinta, LLC) a right-of-way to install a lay flat pipeline to support drilling of approved wells on the existing Lookout Point 1-16 pad on lands administered by the Utah Trust Lands Administration. The project location is south of Fidlar Road and the White River in the Greater Natural Buttes oil and gas field approximately 35 miles south of Vernal in Township 10 South, Range 23 East Salt Lake Base and Meridian, Uintah County, Utah.
