BLM approves gold mining exploration project in Pershing County

LOVELOCK, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management has approved the Wildcat Exploration Project in the Seven Troughs Range of Pershing County. As analyzed in the Final Environmental Assessment, Millennial NV, LLC, submitted a proposal to assess gold mining potential across more than 12,000 public and private acres with an estimated surface disturbance of approximately 400 acres, 365 of which are on public lands.

The approved project includes the construction of drilling pads; access road improvements and maintenance; monitoring well and measurement installations; water production wells and piping; geochemical and geotechnical data collection including trenching, test-pitting, and borehole drilling; and laydown yards. The company will be required to reclaim the disturbed area at the end of the project.
