BLM Approves Drilling Application for Anshutz Exploration in Uintah County
The BLM Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Harman Federal 1123 Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0016-EA. The Authorized Officer signed a decision record under which the BLM will approve 5 Applications for Permit to Drill for the applicant, Anschutz Exploration, to drill gas wells producing from federal minerals. The EA also analyzed construction of the well pad, access roads, and pipelines to support the wells. The project location is in the Rock House oil and gas Unit on BLM-administered land in the NENE quadrat of Section 23, Township 11 South, Range 23 East in Uintah County, Utah.
