BLM Approves 13 Drilling Permits in Duchesne County
BLM Approves Expansion and Drilling Permits for Andre 1-18-3-2 Well Pad
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Andre 1-18-3-2 Well Pad: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0033-EA. The Authorized Officer signed a decision record under which the BLM will approve 7 Applications for Permit to Drill for the applicant, Fourpoint Resources, to drill oil wells producing from federal minerals. The EA also analyzed drilling of up to 8 additional wells (15 total) and expansion of the existing well pad and construction of access roads and pipelines to support the wells. The project location is on private land approximately 4.6 linear miles west northwest of Myton, Utah in Section 18, Township 3 South, Range 2 West, in Duchesne County, Utah.

SM Energy Authorized to Proceed with Diehard Oil Well Project
The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Diehard Oil Wells: DOI-BLM-UT-G010-2026-0049-EA. The Authorized Officer signed a decision record under which the BLM will approve 5 Applications for Permit to Drill for the applicant, SM Energy, to drill oil wells producing from Indian Trust minerals. The well pad and supporting infrastructure already exist on lands outside BLM jurisdiction and are not part of the proposed action. The project location is on private land within the SE/4 of Section 20, Township 2 South, Range 3 West, USM in Duchesne County, Utah.
