Event Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will join partners Empire Ranch Foundation and Run Tucson for the inaugural Empire Ranch Run to kick off the Empire Ranch Foundation's yearlong 150th anniversary celebration and to honor America's 250th anniversary.  

This event will be held at the Historic Empire Ranch in Las Cienegas National Conservation Area on Saturday, January 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

It will feature a 5K, 10K, and family run. It will also include demonstrations and displays depicting ranch life and the history of the Historic Empire Ranch. Whether you sign up for the race or just want to be a spectator, there will be fun for everyone! 

The event is free for the public, including spectators and non-runners. There is a fee for participation in the runs.

Las Cienegas National Conservation Area is located 45 miles southeast of Tucson, Arizona. From Tucson, drive southeast on Interstate 10 to exit 281. Head south on Arizona Route 83. Near milepost 40, turn east into the ranch entrance.
