The Bureau of Land Management, Siuslaw Field Office has signed a decision to authorize the mitigation of hazard trees that pose unacceptable risk by cutting and removing standing or fallen hazard trees throughout BLM-administered lands and BLM-administered right-of-ways throughout the Siuslaw Field Office identified in 2026. The Decision Record and Categorical Exclusion documentation can be accessed digitally on BLM's National NEPA Register.


The BLM manages about 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people.
