Public Land Order 7966 Decision Rationale: Revocation of PLOs 5150 and 5180 North of the Yukon River

On February 25, 2026 the Secretary of the Interior issued Public Land Order No. 7966, revoking two withdrawals in the Dalton Utility Corridor north of the Yukon River—Public Land Order Nos. 5150 and 5180—opening the area to public land and mining laws and setting the stage for major progress on the state’s entitlements under the Alaska Statehood Act.
