Swiftwater Day-Use Area | Oregon
Located at the western boundary of the 33.8 mile North Umpqua Wild & Scenic River, Swiftwater Day-Use Area is a popular site to fish for steelhead, and salmon. Deep fishing holes line the rock embankments under the Swiftwater Bridge where anglers practice their skills and enjoy the day. A fishing platform extends over the river to provide fishing access for those with physical disabilities. Angling is allowed at Swiftwater, however, a few hundred yards upriver (just above Rock Creek confluence), fishing is restricted to fly-fishing only for the next 31 miles.
