Egan Crest Trail System The Egan Crest Trail System provides recreationists with 24 miles of trails with a variety of terrain from the rolling sagebrush flats to the higher elevations in pinyon and juniper forests. The trails consist of single-track and signed two-track roads and are open to hiking, mountain biking, equestrian, motorcycles, and ATVs. Beautiful vistas await along the high points of the trail. Things to note: 2 trail loops and 2 connector trails: 24 miles total / 38.6 km. Other amenities: Picnic tables and shade structures at trailhead. No potable water.

Cell phone reception is good at the trailhead but spotty on the nearby trails.

The large, gravel parking lot at the trailhead has room for about 300 vehicles. A partially shaded kiosk near the lot contains a map of the Egan Crest Trail System. The site does not have any toilets or drinking water.

There are 2 accessible picnic shelters at the trailhead. These shelters consist of curved shade structures covering picnic tables on concrete slabs. Erosion may cause a lip to form between the gravel lot and parts of the concrete slabs.

The tables have recessed legs to accommodate wheelchair users. Pedestal grills sit in gravel next to the shelters and there are trash cans with lids that can be reached from a sitting position. Camping is currently permitted at the trailhead and on surrounding public land.

Trails in the area are not considered accessible, though the beginning portions of some trails may be flat and wide enough to accommodate some riders using adaptive bicycles.
