Pilot Mountains Designated Routes | Utah

The Pilot mountain range is located north of the community of West Wendover, Utah. This prominent mountain range runs SSW to NNE with several rugged canyons spurring off the ridgeline. The most prominent feature is Pilot Peak with an elevation of 10,716. This is a very rugged and remote area. Visitors may drive motor vehicles on designated routes only in the area. Nearly all routes require high clearance four wheel drive vehicles. Things to do include backcountry camping, hiking and backpacking, horseback riding, photography, OHV riding and wildlife viewing.

Directions

Take Utah SR 30 to Grouse Creek Junction. Drive south on Pilot Mountain Road for 15 miles. Turn west on Patterson Pass road.
