Quartz Creek Trail

The 16 mile developed trail climbs into alpine tundra and passes through white spruce forest valleys. The trail traverses a series of ridge lines with sweeping valley views to the end at Quartz Creek. The Quartz Creek Trail includes steep grades, rough terrain and several stream crossings.

Directions

From Fairbanks, AK, travel north/northeast along the Steese Highway to milepost 57. Turn left on US Creek Rd and travel 7 miles to the Nome Creek Road. Turn right at the intersection past the Nome Creek bridge and travel 4 miles to the Quartz Creek Trailhead, located on the left side of the road.
