Knolls Off-Highway Vehicle Special Recreation Management Area (SRMA)

Knolls Special Recreation Management Area is nearly 36,000 acres of sand dunes, hills, and mud flats located in the Great Salt Lake Desert and makes a perfect off-highway vehicle play area. Visitors are encouraged to stay within the boundaries of the recreation area; knolls borders a military bombing range.

Restroom facilities are available. Bring your own water. Please pack it in, pack it out.

Directions

80 miles west of Salt Lake City off of I-80. Take Knolls exit, and go south on overpass. Turn west onto old highway and go about 2 miles then turn south across the railroad track to enter the area.
