Flume Canyon

This is a dissected landscape of steep ridges and v-shaped canyons formed by the many drainages leading north to Westwater Creek Canyon along the northern boundary, east to Sulphur Creek and Antone Wash, and south to Diamond Canyon. Flume Canyon itself runs south in the central part of the WSA. The western portion of the WSA was partially burned in a large fire that occurred in the summer of 2002. The primary recreation use of the area is hunting, but the WSA also provides opportunities for hiking, backpacking and photography. It has year round populations of mountain lion, elk and black bear.
