Texas Creek offers 45 miles of Off-Highway Vehicle trails featuring variations in scenery and terrain along with views of mines and unique rock features. Trail riders can explore the gulch and fields east of Table Mountain, or ride narrow, advanced trails along switchbacks and cliff edges to ascend the peak. Rising 3,000 feet above the Arkansas River Valley, Texas Creek provides excellent views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Hunting and viewing mule deer, bighorn sheep, and elk are also popular activities in this area. The parking area has a vault toilet, an information kiosk, and space for trailers. Dispersed camping is permitted in established campsites. No trash service is available. Visitors must pack out all waste.
