Public Input & Actions

BLM publishes proposed and final rules in the Federal Register and carries out environmental reviews in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. Announcing and explaining bureau plans and proposals and providing the public an opportunity to comment on proposed actions is an important part of informed management. We encourage citizens to make their voices heard on the issues that are important to them.

The BLM Central Yukon Field Office rescinded the fire closure order that temporarily closed the Marion Creek Falls Trail at the Marion Creek Campground, mile 180 of the Dalton Highway.

$7,000 reward offered for information on killing of young horse

A total reward of $7,000 is offered for information leading to arrest and conviction of those who killed a foal in Mono County, California. This includes $2,000 from the Bureau of Land Management and $5,000 from American Wild Horse Conservation.

BLM urges public vigilance as fire restrictions protect southern California communities

The Bureau of Land Management would like to remind public land users that with the upcoming Independence Day holiday, Stage II fire restrictions remain in effect throughout the California Desert District. These restrictions apply to BLM-managed public lands in Imperial, southern Inyo, eastern Kern, Los Angeles, eastern Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties.
