Public Input & Actions

BLM publishes proposed and final rules in the Federal Register and carries out environmental reviews in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. Announcing and explaining bureau plans and proposals and providing the public an opportunity to comment on proposed actions is an important part of informed management. We encourage citizens to make their voices heard on the issues that are important to them.

BLM restricts open fires and fireworks due to extreme fire danger in Interior Alaska

The BLM Fairbanks District Office today issued a Fire Prevention Order to restrict open fires, fireworks, and explosives on BLM-managed lands throughout the District except for areas north Wiseman, Alaska.

BLM announces seasonal fire restrictions for North Coast public lands

ARCATA, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management is issuing fire restrictions for public lands in Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, and Mendocino counties beginning Thursday, July 3. These seasonal fire restrictions listed in the fire order will be in place to help prevent wildfire and will remain in effect until further notice. These restrictions are in addition to the BLM year-round statewide fire prevention order also in effect until further notice.

The Bureau of Land Management is issuing fire restrictions for public lands in Shasta, Tehama, Butte, Siskiyou and Trinity counties beginning Thursday, July 3. These seasonal fire restrictions listed in the fire order will be in place to help prevent wildfire and will remain in effect until further notice. BLM Tres Rios Field Office implements Stage 1 fire restrictions

Stage 1 fire restrictions begin Tuesday, July 1 for all public lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Tres Rios Field Office within the boundaries of Archuleta, Dolores, Hinsdale, La Plata, Montezuma, San Juan, San Miguel, and the of Canyon of the Ancients National Monument.
