Oil and gas lease sale assessment for parcels in Moffat and Routt counties available for public comment

MEEKER, Colo. – The Bureau of Land Management today released a preliminary environmental assessment for public review that evaluates offering two parcels in northwest Colorado in the May 2016 competitive oil and gas lease sale.

One parcel in Moffat County totals 172 acres; the other totals 641 acres in Routt County. Both are federal minerals under privately owned surface. 

The environmental assessment, a list and map of the parcels, and the attached stipulations are available online at http://on.doi.gov/1Q2vj92 and at the Little Snake Field Office, 455 Emerson St. in Craig.

Written comments must be received by Dec. 14 and may be submitted via e-mail to blm_co_lsfo_2016_lease_sale@blm.gov or by mail to Little Snake Field Office, Attn: Lease Sale, 455 Emerson St., Craig, CO 81625.
