Roseburg, Ore. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Roseburg District will open a new trailhead servicing the west entrance access for the North Bank Habitat Management Area on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017.

The facility has been under construction since mid-May of this year.  The new trailhead offers a restroom, information kiosk and separate parking areas for passenger vehicles and vehicles with trailers.  Visitors will also notice increased parking capacity, a fenced perimeter, entrance arbor and gravel surfacing.  The BLM plans to landscape the area and provide picnic tables in the future.

To get to the area from Roseburg, take I-5 north for 4 miles to the Winchester Exit 129.  Turn left on Hwy. 99 toward Wilbur, and in 1.5 miles turn right on North Bank Road.  Continue 5.3 miles to the West Access Trailhead on the left.

The BLM recognizes that public lands are connected and integrated with local communities and service providers.  As stewards, the BLM manages public lands for the benefit of current and future generations, supporting conservation as we pursue our multiple-use mission.
