Final Environmental Assessment issued for Lincoln Hill Exploration Project

WINNEMUCCA, Nev. — The Humboldt River Field Office has signed a Decision Record, issued a Finding of No Significant Impact and the final Environmental Assessment for an exploration project located in Rochester Canyon by Coeur Rochester, Inc. The project site is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Lovelock, Nevada. 

Coeur Rochester Inc. has proposed to conduct exploration for gold and silver and surface-disturbing activities for baseline data collection to assess mineral development within an 8,457-acre boundary. The estimated duration of exploration activities is five years. Reclamation is to be completed after exploration activities are completed. 

Initially the exploration site will involve 250 acres; 62.81 acres of private, 187.19 acres of public lands and an existing authorized five acres of public lands from previous notice level activity.
