On Sept. 28, 2019, more than 150,000 volunteers across the country will join in trail maintenance and planting projects, trash pickups, and other activities aimed at restoring and caring for our public lands to celebrate the 26th annual National Public Lands Day (NPLD). Organized each year by the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), and nationally sponsored by Toyota Motor North America, National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands.

While supplies last, participating volunteers will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a “fee-free coupon” good for free admission to a federal site.

“The BLM is committed to providing opportunities for Americans to connect with our nation’s public lands,” said BLM Idaho State Director John F. Ruhs. “National Public Lands Day is a great way to do this, while providing public service alongside those in your community. We invite you to join us for an event! Together, we can make a difference on your public lands.”
